Is JAPICHV a type of witch burning?
![]()
A most peculiar practice is the judgmental amateur psychoanalyst “I-know-you-better-than-you-know-yourself” covert hostility vomit (JAPICHV). Extremely foul and typically erupting without warning, it is believed to be one in a set of behaviors involved in the continual reshuffling and marking of interpersonal positions within complex clandestine power structures and social hierarchies. More research is needed to understand this bizarre phenomenon. Questions to explore may include:
- Is this behavior specific to Americans, confined to certain
subcultures, or practiced globally?- What triggers it?
- What gives the vomiter his/her delusion of authority to judge another human being?
- What gives the vomiter his/her delusion of superiority to denigrate another human being?
- Are all vomiters narcissists? Are all narcissists vomiters?
- What are the vomiter’s criteria for target selection?
- What is the purpose, or gain, for the vomiter?
- Is there a benefit, or gain, for the target?
